Perhaps more than any other factor, the success of an ASC depends on the surgeon-owners who refer and perform cases there. It is important to recruit the best surgeons and equally important to ensure that the surgeons remain productive over time and comply with the policies, procedures and regulatory and legal requirements that apply in the ASC.

Read this ASC Focus article to learn about the importance of hiring wisely, mandating regulatory and legal compliance and having clearly written agreements and policies.

This new measure requires 2022 data collection and submission through the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) National Healthcare Safety Network (NHSN) using its Secure Access Management Services (SAMS) system.
