If you are interested in taking the Certified Ambulatory Infection Preventionist (CAIP)™ examination in 2019, please make note of the following important dates and information

CAIP Credential Overview

CAIP is the first credential designed specifically for infection preventionists in the ASC industry. This certification distinguishes those with a comprehensive understanding of the skills and knowledge that the role of an ASC infection preventionist requires.

Exam Content and Study Materials

The CAIP exam tests knowledge in five content areas:

  • Infection Prevention Program Development, Implementation and Maintenance
  • Infection Prevention and Control Education and Training
  • Surveillance, Data Collection and Analysis
  • Infection Prevention Strategies
  • Instrument/Equipment Cleaning, Disinfection and Sterilization

Applicants can access study materials to prepare for the exam on the CAIP website.
