If you plan to request continuing education (CE) credits, nursing contact hours, administrator education units (AEUs), continuing medical education (CME) or a certificate of participation, you must do so by June 30, 2018. Request CE Credits.
To receive credit, you must complete an evaluation for each session via the ASCA 2018 Continuing Education Portal. You will need your ID number located on the back of your attendee badge. If you no longer have your badge, you can request your ID number by sending an email to registration@ascassociation.org.
ASCA 2018 has been approved for the following CE credits:
Administrator Education Units (AEUs)
Certified Administrator Surgery Center (CASC)™ certificants can earn up to 16.00 AEUs by attending the main program’s sessions. Additional credits may be earned by attending a pre-meeting workshop—up to 9.00 AEUs for half-day pre-meetings. View AEU content areas offered in each ASCA 2018 session.
Nursing Contact Hours
ASCA 2018’s main program sessions are approved for up to 16.00 nursing contact hours. Additional contact hours may be earned by attending a pre-meeting workshop—8.00 nursing contact hours for the CASC Review Course or up to 9.00 nursing contact hours for the half-day pre-meetings.
Certified Ambulatory Infection Preventionist (CAIP)™ Credential
ASCA 2018 offers attendees the opportunity to earn many of the continuing education credits in infection prevention they need to qualify for the new CAIP exam, which will be offered for the first time in October 2018.
