August is National ASC Month. Celebrate with ASCA as we recognize our members and the ASC community. From infographics to social media kits, ASCA offers educational resources to help you raise awareness about ASCs and the important services they provide.

ASCs from around the country welcome members of Congress and their staff for facility tours to showcase the value of the ASC setting.

Share the What is an ASC? infographic to increase awareness of surgery centers in your community and the savings they provide to the Medicare program.

ASC Savings

Use our new infographic that highlights findings from a recent study by KNG Health Consulting to educate your community about the significant savings ASCs provide. The study reveals that ASCs save Medicare more than $5 billion annually. When a procedure for a Medicare beneficiary is performed in an ASC rather than an HOPD, it results in cost savings for the Medicare program.

State Impact

Distribute your state-specific fact sheet to spotlight Medicare savings particular to your region.

Facility Tour Program

Host a facility tour for your members of Congress so they can see firsthand the high-quality, cost-effective care your ASC provides. Hosting a facility tour is one of the most effective ways to educate lawmakers about the ASC setting and the issues affecting patient access to care. Participating ASCs could be featured in an upcoming issue of ASCA’s Government Affairs Update.

Celebrate ASCA Member Appreciation Week: August 3-7, 2026

As part of National ASC Month, we’re taking a week to celebrate the members who make ASCA stronger. Join us August 3-7 for ASCA Member Appreciation Week, featuring daily member lounges with exclusive content, special announcements, interactive activities, member spotlights and opportunities to win prizes.

Ask Congress to Support ASC Legislation

Use your voice to secure support for ASCA’s top legislative priorities. Through our template letters, you can quickly contact your members of Congress and urge them to cosponsor crucial ASC legislation, such as the Medicare Beneficiary Co-Pay Fairness Act and the Outpatient Surgery Access Act of 2026. If enacted, these bills would modernize Medicare policy to better support patients and the surgery center community.
