Terms and Conditions

Thank you for being part of the ASCA Connect community. These Terms and Conditions are intended to foster a professional, respectful, and secure environment where members can exchange ideas, share resources, and collaborate. By accessing or using this community, you agree to comply with these Terms and Conditions and any additional policies established by ASCA.

Questions should be directed to ASCA Member Services. ASCA reserves the right to suspend or terminate access for users who violate these Terms.

The Rules

  • Treat all members with professionalism and respect. Do not harass, threaten, defame, or attack others.
  • Do not post commercial advertisements or solicitations.
  • Do not disclose pricing, costs, salaries, or any other financial information under any circumstances.
  • Do not post unlawful, confidential, copyrighted, or otherwise unauthorized material.
  • Post messages and files only in the most appropriate community or resource library.
  • Contribute content that adds value to the discussion. ASCA may remove content that does not.
  • Do not use this community, its discussions, files, resource libraries, member profiles, or metadata to develop, train, fine-tune, evaluate, or improve artificial intelligence systems, machine learning models, large language models (LLMs), retrieval systems, or similar technologies without ASCA's prior written permission.
  • Automated scraping or collection of community content is prohibited.
  • Community content may not be incorporated into AI datasets, vector databases, knowledge bases, or other repositories used to support generative AI applications.
  • Members remain responsible for all content they post, including AI-assisted content. AI-generated material should be reviewed for accuracy before posting and should not contain fabricated, misleading, or improperly attributed information.
  • Automated accounts or bots may not access or participate in the community unless expressly approved by ASCA.
  • Member profiles, contact information, discussions, and shared resources may not be copied, harvested, or compiled into mailing lists, marketing databases, AI datasets, or similar collections without ASCA's written permission.
  • Community content is intended for use within ASCA Connect. Members should not reproduce, redistribute, republish, or commercially exploit another member's content outside the community without the author's permission, except as permitted by law or these Terms.

Discussion Etiquette

  • Keep discussions on topic and search existing discussions before creating a new one.
  • Share resources by attaching them to relevant discussions when appropriate.
  • Use clear subject lines.
  • Quote only the relevant portions of previous messages when replying.
  • Respect confidential, proprietary, and patient information. Do not post content that violates privacy laws or contractual obligations.

The Legal Stuff

ASCA provides this community as a service to its members and is not responsible for opinions expressed by participants. By posting content, you represent that you own the necessary rights or have permission to share it. You grant ASCA a nonexclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, reproduce, distribute, archive, and otherwise use your content solely to operate, maintain, promote, and improve the community. Except for this limited license, ownership remains with the original author.

Unless expressly authorized in writing by ASCA, no license is granted to use community content for artificial intelligence training, machine learning, text or data mining, creation of AI datasets, development of LLMs, retrieval-augmented generation systems, or similar automated technologies. ASCA expressly reserves all rights relating to these uses.

Community content may not be sold, licensed, syndicated, redistributed, or otherwise commercially exploited without ASCA's prior written consent and, where applicable, the consent of the original content owner.

Messages that encourage illegal price fixing, market allocation, boycotts, or other anticompetitive conduct are prohibited.

ASCA reserves the right, but not the obligation, to review, remove, edit, restrict, or disable access to any content or account that violates these Terms or compromises the integrity of the community. Violations may result in removal of content, suspension or termination of access, revocation of membership privileges, and other remedies available under applicable law.

ASCA may modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Continued use of the community constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
