ASC Cybersecurity: Crash Course on Current Threats & Best Practices

WEBINAR: January 17, 2023, 1:00 pm ET

Speaker(s): Paul Alcock, DIT, CISSP, CCSP, CISM, CCISO, GCIH
Continuing Education: Eligible for 1 hour of AEU/CE | AEU Content Area: Regulatory and Legal Issues

Protection of patient data should be top of mind for any ASC, particularly with the continual threats coming from financially motivated groups actively targeting the healthcare space. These groups are organized, sophisticated and very aware of the limited resources some ASCs have to prevent a data breach. This program will highlight who these groups are, what motivates them and why they are becoming increasingly successful. We will provide pragmatic guidance on how a few low-cost controls can significantly reduce the risk of a cyberattack. Finally, since some participants are, unfortunately, likely to be victims of a future attack, we will detail some fundamental steps an ASC can take to reduce the impact and recover as quickly as possible.
