Agenda

Fire (including Sprinkler) and HVAC

Learn from two Life Safety Code auditors what they look at when they visit an ASC and how to prepare for their visit. Begin with a summary of the various components of fire safety and heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems with a focus on the regulatory environment and why compliance with the various standards is enforced. Then, look at the basics of what an administrator needs to know and have in hand when inspectors ask for documents or when a facility needs to contact a contractor for repairs. Get answers concerning basic and advanced Life Safety Code requirements ranging from why you need sprinklers and smoke detectors to what areas of the facility need negative or positive HVAC pressures.
