Mary Ryan has spent her entire nursing career in the perioperative arena and a great majority of that in the ASC world. She has held positions such as administrator, group administrator, regional manager, group clinical director and clinical consultant. She has successfully guided many start-up centers from feasibility to becoming accredited and certified with CMS. She has also led other centers in optimizing their processes and driving excellence in efficiencies and outcomes.

Mary is currently a senior consultant for Amblitel and is also serving her second term on the Board of Ambulatory Surgery Certification (BASC). She was one of the founding members of the Iowa Association of Ambulatory Surgery Centers and served as its first president. She frequently speaks at ASCA’s annual conferences and many state association meetings.
