I have served in a leadership role at a multi-specialty ASC for the last 20 years. I began my career in surgery over 20 years ago where I was fortunate to gain leadership opportunities as education coordinator and charge nurse. I was invited to work at our ASC and one-year later I inherited the Administrator/DON role. I would love to say my expertise on this topic was present from the beginning, but the reality is that I had many trial-and-error moments that contributed to my knowledge of this subject. I also earned my MSN 7 years ago.

After 20 years, I have collected several strategies that help motivate, encourage, and create a positive culture. My goal is to improve those around me, which motivates me to look at opportunities to continue my growth as a leader.
