Kara Marshall Newbury serves as ASCA’s chief advocacy officer and through this role spearheads the association’s government affairs efforts and strategic planning around policy initiatives. Kara previously coordinated state legislative, regulatory and public affairs for the association. Before joining ASCA, Kara served as the assistant director of state government affairs for the National Association of Professional Employer Organizations and staff attorney and director of government relations for the Community Financial Services Association. Kara received her undergraduate and law degrees from The Ohio State University.
