Clinical Education Specialist for IN, KY, MI, & WI, STERIS Corporation / Healthcare

Janet Strong is an RN who worked in the Perioperative Department for over 30 years where she was an educator, scrub, circulator and orthopeadic coordinator. She is currently employed by STERIS Corporation as a Clinical Education Specialist. In her role, she provides education and clinical guidance to sterile processing, operating room, endoscopy and Infection Preventionists to achieve best practices in sterile processing and infection prevention. She assists with process assessments, wet pack solutions and general troubleshooting of products and equipment. Janet also contributes to the curriculum development of education programs for STERIS.

Janet is a member of AORN (Association of periOperative Registered Nurses), APIC (Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology), HSPA (Healthcare Sterile Processing Association), and SGNA (Society of Gastroenterology Nurses and Associates), ASQ (American Society for Quality). She has been published in Healthcare Purchasing News and Process Magazine and is certified with many of these organizations.

Expiration of Enduring Materials

  • Contact hours will be awarded until March 31, 2024, for the 2023 educational program and March 31, 2023, for the 2022 educational program.

  • ASCA is an approved provider for nursing contact hours by the California Board of Registered Nursing, Provider #6949.

  • ASCA is an approved provider for Administrator Education Units (AEUs) by BASC Provider #3272.

  • ASCA is an approved provider for Infection Prevention Contact Hours (IPCHs) by CAIP.

Cancellation Policy

Registration fees are nonrefundable.

Can’t attend? Someone from your facility can attend in your place. Substitutions can be made free of charge for your initial substitution and $55 for each additional. All requests must be made in writing and sent via email to the ASCA Meetings Department at registration@ascassociation.org.
