Is your facility billing for non-opioid alternatives? Any words of advice to others?

We are seeing greater attention and interest in this area, but adoption and consistency in billing practices still vary widely by payer and center. While some sites are exploring opportunities, I do not feel we have a clean, replicable approach yet that would be meaningful to share broadly as guidance.

Do you have a different time frame for H&Ps from the 30-day window? What criteria did you use to support making the change?

Similarly, most of our centers are continuing to operate within the standard 30-day window aligned with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services Conditions for Coverage. We have not implemented alternative time frames, largely because we need to remain conservative from a compliance standpoint and ensure consistency across sites. As a result, we do not have a well-developed framework or criteria to support a deviation that I would feel confident recommending externally.
