What changes in the OAS CAHPS Survey would make the experience easier and more productive?

A.png

The OAS CAHPS Survey would be more useful if it were shorter and more focused, with fewer questions that clearly relate to the ambulatory surgery experience. Reducing redundancy and removing lower-value items would decrease respondent fatigue and improve completion rates. Using plain, straightforward language instead of complex or clinical wording would make questions easier for patients to understand and answer accurately, resulting in higher-quality, more actionable feedback for surgery centers.

What strategies are you using to manage the anesthesia shortage?

A.png

We are managing the anesthesia shortage by operating as a CRNA-only facility with a highly engaged and stable anesthesia group. Being located near several CRNA training programs has strengthened our pipeline and supported long-term coverage. Anesthesia services are provided through a contracted group rather than direct hiring, which allows us to maintain consistent staffing and flexibility while minimizing the operational burden on the center.
