ASCA and Its Members Ask Congress to Retract Medicare’s 3.4% Cut in Physician Payments

December 2023

As part of the association’s efforts to prevent a 3.37 percent reduction in Medicare reimbursements to clinicians set to take effect in 2024, ASCA spearheaded a grassroots effort encouraging its members to contact their members of Congress to ask them to sign on to a bipartisan letter to congressional leadership. That letter, sent December 13, 2023, and originally signed by 80 members of Congress, urges congressional action that would provide relief from the scheduled cuts and support for draft legislation tentatively titled the “Preserving Seniors’ Access to Physicians Act of 2023.” ASCA members contacted 41 different members of Congress during this grassroots campaign.
