ASCs that adopt new technology can expect some internal resistance to change. This resistance is often linked to a lack of understanding about why an ASC needs the new tech. Whether an ASC is switching from a paper to an electronic solution, migrating to a different technological vendor or simply making an upgrade, you can always anticipate some hesitation. Read this ASC Focus article to better understand this reluctance and learn how to continue to bring about change in your ASC.
At a recent meeting, staff from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) asked ASCA representatives which codes should be added to the ASC-payable list for 2020. To find out, ASCA is conducting a brief survey of its members. This information will help ASCA advocate for the expansion of the list of procedures that CMS considers clinically appropriate for ASCs to provide to Medicare beneficiaries. Participants must complete one survey for each procedure they would like added. Take the survey.
