Want to demonstrate that you have what it takes to manage an ASC? Then, sign up now to take the next Certified Administrator Surgery Center (CASC) exam on Saturday, October 12, in Las Vegas.
Only qualified applicants can take the exam, and all applications must be postmarked by September 14, 2013. Visit the Board of Ambulatory Surgery Certification web site for more information or click here to download an application for the exam.
The CASC exam is being offered as part of ASCA’s 2013 Fall Seminars—four days of programming in Las Vegas where attendees can participate in one or more of five educational opportunities.
On Wednesday, October 9, ASCA is offering the CASC Review Course. Use the course as a study guide for the CASC exam or a review of the management skills and information ASC administrators need to master. The course will focus on the five content areas of the CASC exam: regulatory and legal issues, finance, delivery of patient care, quality management and human resources. Each content area will be covered by expert faculty. (Actual test questions will not be provided.) Click here to register.
Three seminars will also be offered during the four-day event:

ASC administrators who hold the CASC credential say it is the quickest way to establish their ASC management expertise with their peers and a way to validate their experience and expertise. ASCA’s 2012 Salary and Benefits Survey indicates that ASC administrators with a clinical background who hold the CASC credential earn an average of $17,000 more per year than their colleagues with comparable training who do not hold the credential.
Sign up for the CASC exam and make plans to participate in ASCA’s 2013 Fall Seminars today.
