CDC to Discuss New Fungal Meningitis Treatment Guidelines Tomorrow

The Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC) has recommended new guidelines to clinicians concerning the clinical management of patients with fungal infections associated with contaminated methylprednisolone injections.

Recent data in the ongoing nationwide fungal meningitis outbreak investigation has demonstrated the importance of MRIs in order to diagnose focal infections.

The CDC is hosting a webinar tomorrow at 1 pm ET to discuss these findings and the updated recommendations.
