ASCAPAC is the Ambulatory Surgery Center Association’s nonpartisan political action committee (PAC) and is the only PAC in the country that represents the entire ASC community in Washington, DC. ASCAPAC allows its members to pool resources and use this shared strength for promoting issues that are important in the ASC community to members of Congress.

Membership in ASCAPAC is not limited to ASC facilities—individual administrators, nurses, staff members and facility owners may also join ASCAPAC. ASCAPAC is an investment in the future of your career and the long-term success of the ASC community.

ASCAPAC is a federally registered political committee and the contributions it receives are used to support federal candidates and committees. Contributions to ASCAPAC are voluntary and any person has the right to refuse to contribute. The contribution guidelines are merely suggestions and a person may contribute more, less or not at all without concern of favor or disadvantage. Corporate donations will not be used by ASCAPAC for contributions, but will be used to pay for the administrative and operating expenses for ASCAPAC or related political activity. Contributions are not deductible as charitable contributions for federal tax purposes. Federal law requires ASCAPAC to request the name, address, occupation and employer for each person whose contributions exceed $200 in a calendar year.
