What is the goal of this program?
This program is designed to improve teamwork and communication, and promote a culture of safety at out-patient surgery centers. Through enhanced teamwork and communication, we seek to improve patient and staff satisfaction and reduce surgery-site infections and complications.
What is the time commitment?
The total time commitment for the program is approximately 9-11 hours a month, which can be split among several employees, and includes regular team meetings, data collection, educational webinars and activities at your facility.
Will I need to attend every webinar?
We encourage you to attend all webinars at the time they are scheduled. Attending the webinars can be split among different members of the team. However, if you are unable to attend a webinar, they are posted online several days after they occur.
The syllabus for the last cohort can be found here. Please note that the schedule does change slightly from cohort to cohort.
What are the data collecting requirements for the program? How will this data be used?

The time spent on data reporting is included in the overall time commitment of 9-11 hours per month.
