What is ASCs 2008

ASCs 2008, "Celebrating our Successes, Living our Mission," will be the annual meeting of the ASC Association, the new organization formed through the merger of the two most influential ASC associations in the US today — the American Association of Ambulatory Surgery Centers (AAASC) and FASA. The ASC Association will represent the interests of those who own, operate and seek the services of ASCs, provide membership services, and advocate for ambulatory surgery at the state and federal levels. Members of the ASC Association will enjoy discounts when they attend, sponsor and exhibit at meetings of the Foundation.

The Foundation for Ambulatory Surgery in America (Foundation), which will become the Ambulatory Surgery Foundation on January 1, 2008, will conduct this educational program as the annual meeting of the new ASC Association. In addition, the Foundation will host a variety of other educational programs throughout the year to achieve its mission of providing a wealth of educational opportunities for ASC professionals, policy makers and the public. The Foundation conducts research on a variety of ASC topics and is the nation's largest publisher of ASC-specific materials. With the addition of the educational activities currently offered by AAASC, the Foundation will be new and improved on January 1, 2008.
