Description: The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services’ (CMS) decision to adopt the National Fire Protection Association’s (NFPA) 2012 Life Safety Code means new operational requirements for all ASCs, retroactive modifications in existing facilities, and at times, dramatically expanded standards for new ones. As if that were not enough, physical environment compliance is further complicated by CMS-specific mandates. Attend this workshop for a comprehensive overview of the applicable CMS & NFPA facility requirements for all ASCs and a review of easily misunderstood and overlooked aspects of operational compliance and documentation that could lead to Life Safety Code survey citations. Get the guidance you need to design and implement long-term, low-stress solutions that can help your ASC remain in continuous compliance with CMS’ physical environment mandates.
