Grassroots Advocacy

Make Your Voice Heard!

Policy makers need to understand just how important ASCs are in meeting America's health care needs. These advocacy activities are quick, easy and fun and you will be making a difference.

  • Become an ASC Champion

ASC Champions are those members of ASCA who want to participate in advocating on behalf of the ASC industry. By taking the next step from just participating in the grassroots process members distinguish themselves as true Champions of the ASC industry.
  • Write a Letter to Congress

Progress is currently underway to enact legislation as soon as possible to ensure that the ASC industry continues to provide quality care with appropriate access to the millions of Medicare patients in need of ASC services.
  • Host a Facility Tour

While ASCA continues to work to educate lawmakers in Washington, DC, there is no substitute for the powerful message you send when you invite your elected and appointed officials into your facility to see firsthand the quality of care that you provide and the satisfaction of your patients.
  • Attend ASCA's Capitol Fly-In Program

Physician owners, ASC administrators and other ASC staff travel to Washington, DC, for a series of meetings with US Senators and Representatives to advocate on behalf of the ASC community.
