ASC Focus Magazine Re-Launching This Spring

February 22, 2012

ASC Focus, ASCA’s flagship members’ magazine, will be re-launched as a monthly magazine starting in spring 2012.

The magazine’s content is being redesigned and reevaluated to help ensure that it serves ASCA’s membership more completely. If you would like to write an article for the magazine, please review the Editorial Guidelines for Contributors. These guidelines tell what the editors are looking for and how to submit a story proposal.

ASCA is also pleased to announce that Martin King will serve as the new managing editor of Focus.

A native of Vancouver, British Columbia, King has an extensive background in editing periodicals for trade, professional and international organizations in the Washington, D.C. area. He has edited newsletters, magazines and newspapers for such organizations as the American Red Cross, the National Council for International Health, the American Council of Life Insurance and the National Committee for Quality Assurance.

Most recently, King served as senior multimedia editor and writer for the National Crime Prevention Council. He has won several professional awards, including a Silver Inkwell for News Writing from the Society of National Association Publications and a first-place gold award for Most Improved Publication from the American Society of Association Executives.
